Hempstead Turnpike (NY-24) is the main east-west road through the village and one of the busiest roads on Long Island. It is slow at rush hour and during Hofstra and Nassau Coliseum events. For airport runs we usually get onto the Southern State Parkway quickly via Peninsula Boulevard or the Meadowbrook, instead of crawling along the Turnpike.
Hempstead’s LIRR station is the end of the Hempstead Branch, so many visitors arrive by train and need a car for the last leg. We meet trains at the station and adjust for delays. On event nights at Nassau Coliseum in neighbouring Uniondale or UBS Arena in Elmont, we stage pickups away from the main exits to save you the post-show queue.
